Spaces for LGBTQ+
allies of faith
LGBTQ+ people, parents and allies need a place to connect with each other no matter what the situation.

For LGBTQ+ youth
LGBTQ2AIA+ Youth in the CRC need a safe place to connect with each other. No matter your situation – if you would like to connect with others in a safe, anonymous, online space, we want to hear from you. You are loved here and you are safe here.

For parents
Has your child come out to you? Looking for ways to love and support them effectively? Join other parents for encouragement, resources, information, and support.
Who is welcome to be part of the group?
The parents’ support group is an online community of parents of LGBTQ+ children no matter the age. We meet regularly for conversation, support and prayer. The group is facilitated by a volunteer leader who is a parent of LGBTQ children.
How often do you meet?
We gather online via google meet approximately once per month.
How long are your meetings?
Our meetings are between 60-90 minutes depending on the number of attendees
What format do you follow?
We follow a casual format centered around the idea of roses (what is good in your life right now), buds (what possibilities are you experiencing) and thorns (what are your challenges).
Are conversations confidential?
Yes! We all commit to confidentiality before becoming part of the group.
How do you manage differing opinions?
We commit to listen, ask questions and allow space for varying opinions.
Is there a possibility for me to have a conversation with just one person?
Absolutely! Send an email to info@hesedproject.com and one of our team members will get back to you to set up a time to meet with you online.

For congregations
Are you a leader in a congregation that is navigating questions about your future ? Connect with other leaders in similar conversations here.
The landscape is changing rapidly as people and faith communities explore their options and try to make safer communities. Reach out in confidence; we’ll ask a few questions to find out where you are in the journey and then try to provide connection and support that will meet you and your faith community where you’re at. It’s up to you.
Find an affirming church
The number of affirming churches is growing and many organizations are compiling lists of these faith communities. Our list is not exhaustive, but consider these resources to find one online or near you.
If you know of ones we’re missing, please email us.
